Brett Twelmeyer: A classic look. When someone says Iowa State football, this is exactly what comes to mind. Simple, cardinal, well done.

Pavle Markovic: Hands down my favorite cardinal look for the Cyclones. Shows what Iowa State should look like.

Cayden Storm: In my opinion, this is our best home look. An Iowa State uniform should always have cardinal and gold!

Twelmeyer: This is one of my favorites. The white helmet is my favorite, and the red jersey ties in nicely to have a multi-color look.

Markovic: This is a solid jersey combination. The red jersey with the rest of the white throughout the uniform blends in well.

Storm: I really like this combination. I love how the red jersey breaks up the white helmet and pants.

Twelmeyer: Uniforms that have the same colored helmet and pants, with a different color jersey, are some of my favorites. This combo is no exception. A great road look.

Markovic: Ah, the classic road jerseys. Can’t go wrong with this combination when playing away from home.

Storm: I couldn’t agree more with Brett. The matching helmet and pants with a different color jersey is the best formula.

Wide receiver Jaylin Noel wearing white Iowa State jersey and pants with red helmet announced May 1, 2024. Photo provided by Iowa State Athletics.

Twelmeyer: Not my favorite set. There is not a good contrast between the white and red in this one for me. I think there are better road combinations than this one.

Markovic: I would have to agree with Brett and Cayden here, these are not one of my favorites. I would much rather have the red or yellow pants substituted out here for the white pants.

Storm: In my opinion, this is one of our worst road looks. Not bad or anything, just dull.

Twelmeyer: I am so happy yellow pants are back. I do have to say though, this kind of reminds me of Ronald McDonald.

Markovic: Those yellow pants do look nice with the pairing of the red helmet and white jersey. I’m looking forward to seeing this look more during road games this season.

Storm: The yellow pants are sweet, but I think I might like them paired better with the red jersey though.

Twelmeyer: I do like these alternates, but I can’t help but think that a little splash of red might look good on these.

Markovic: If it were not for the all-black or all-white uniforms, this jersey combo would be my favorite out of the bunch. I think the black jersey meshes so well with the white helmet and pants.

Storm: There will be a theme for the rest of these uniforms. I do not like the uniforms with no cardinal or gold. Until the black uniforms get some color added I will not be a fan.

Twelmeyer: Night games are sure to be a good time once again. I do think that the previous blackouts were slightly better, however.

Markovic: You can’t go wrong with having the all-black uniforms on. Makes blackout games even more exciting to watch.

Storm: These are my favorite of the black-and-white combinations, but still rank pretty low overall for me.

Twelmeyer: Meh. There are too many black-and-white alternate combos. The point of alternates is that they don’t come around too often, but there are so many this year.

Markovic: Contrary to Brett and Cayden, I actually do like the black helmet and white jersey combination. I can see how this combination would look really good during night games if it were not for the all-white or the all-black combo.

Storm: Somehow the white jerseys with black lettering might be worse than the black jerseys. There are so many options for alternates, why would they choose another one with no color?

Tight end Benjamin Brahmer wearing white Iowa State jersey and helmet with black pants announced May 1, 2024. Photo provided by Iowa State Athletics.

Twelmeyer: This combination could have sat out this season. It feels extra and unnecessary.

Markovic: Not too big of a fan of the black pants added to the all-white look. I could understand having the helmet be a different color, but the pants being the outlier does not work for me.

Storm: These are not good. The black pants seem way out of place on these. I hope that these uniforms never make it onto the field.

Running back Abu Sama III wearing white Iowa State jersey, helmet and pants announced May 1, 2024.

Twelmeyer: I’m always a fan of all-white uniforms. However, if it was the regular look with the red numbers, logo and accents, I’d like it more.

Markovic: All I have to say for this uniform combo is, can it be Oct. 5? I doubt that it will be snowing in early October, but I am still eager to see the Cyclones go into action with this look against Baylor.

Storm: This look is decent for what it is, but it is still so bland to me. Cardinal accents would make these black and white uniforms look so much better.
