ARL sheds new light on nearly 30 dogs, puppies rescued in Webster County

HIS BODY WAS RECOVERED BY A DIVE TEAM JUST A FEW HOURS LATER. THE ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE OF IOWA IS SHEDDING MORE LIGHT ON DOZENS OF DOGS RESCUED IN WEBSTER COUNTY LAST WEEK, A SEARCH WAS DONE AT A HOME NEAR BADGER. THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS 29 DOGS IN TOTAL WERE SEIZED AND RELOCATED. THE A RL TOOK SX OF THOSE DOGS, THEY TELL KCCI. THAT IS WHAT THEY CAN HANDLE AT THIS TIME BECAUSE THEY HAVE SO MANY ANIMALS IN THEIR CARE, BUT THEY’LL CONTINUE TO HELP WITH RESCUES AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. SO CERTAINLY MONETARY DONATIONS ARE ALWAYS THE BEST. AND THAT’S JUST BECAUSE WE CAN APPLY IT WHERE, WHEN AND AND HOW IT’S NEEDED. RIGHT? SO WHETHER THAT BE MEDICAL, UM, OR FOOD OR SUPPLIES OR ANY OF THE, ANY OF THOSE THINGS. SO MONETARY IS, IS ALWAYS THE BEST FOR US, ESPECIALLY SO THAT WE CAN KEEP, UM, MOVING FORWARD WITH THESE, THESE RESCUES AND HELP IN WHERE AND, AND WHEN WE CAN. UH, AND THEN CERTAINLY, YOU KNOW, OBVIOUSLY IF, IF YOU’RE ABLE TO ADOPT CERTAINLY COME IN AND AND SEE WHAT IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IF YOU’RE IN A, IN A SPOT THAT YOU CAN DO SO THE REST OF THE DOGS AND PUPPIES WERE ACCEPTED AT OTHER SHELTERS AND RESCUES. The Animal Rescue League of Iowa is shedding more light on dozens of dogs rescued in Webster County last week.A search was done at a home near Badger. The sheriff’s office says 29 dogs in total were seized and relocated. The Animal Rescue League of Iowa is shedding more light on dozens of dogs rescued in Webster County last week.

A search was done at a home near Badger. The sheriff’s office says 29 dogs in total were seized and relocated. The ARL took six of those dogs.

The ARL says that is all they can handle at this time because they have so many animals in their care, but they will continue to help with rescues as much as possible.

“Obviously if you’re able to adopt, certainly come in and see what is available for adoption if you’re in a spot that you can do so,” said ARL member Robyn Dobernecker.

The rest of the dogs and puppies rescued in Webster County were accepted at other shelters and rescues.

The Webster County sheriff says charges are pending in this case.
