One of the biggest events of the year in music is Coachella. This 2025 lineup does seem a little weaker than usual. Even though the event as a whole seems to be weak throughout, the headline events are still pretty good.

Lady Gaga is one of the best pop stars in the world, and while I haven’t seen her live myself, I am sure that she will perform a killer event. Her newest single, “Disease,” is a great return to the old Gaga, and hopefully, before Coachella, she drops more teases for her newest mainline album. It will be interesting to see what classic songs Gaga decides to break out for this set.

Green Day is coming off of their “Saviors Tour” which I got to see in the fall in Minneapolis. Green Day knows how to perform and they did an incredible job not only getting the whole crowd into the show but also the intensity they perform with. It is an electric thing to witness, and I believe that they can capture that again for their Coachella performance.

Post Malone is an artist that I don’t have a strong opinion on. His music is very radio-like and the pick for him to headline Coachella is a strange one. He isn’t a bad artist, but ever since he stopped making more rap-centric music and moved to the country/pop style, his music has gone downhill.

The biggest surprise of the event is Charli XCX not being a headliner. Her album “BRAT” has maintained its spot in pop culture ever since its release, and it is shocking that she isn’t headlining as she is one of the biggest names in pop music right now. Not only is Charli a sensation, but her music is instantly catchy. It is just very surprising that she isn’t the major headline of the year.

Other big musicians that will be performing are Megan Thee Stallion, Clairo and beabadoobee.

The final performance of the event will be Travis Scott. This performance is a great pick, as one of the biggest names in rap music will be closing the event.

Check out Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival to see the official setlist.
