Junior guard Jada Williams posted on social media Wednesday afternoon: “For my senior year I will be pursuing my dreams elsewhere.” Williams averaged 15.3 points, 7.7 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game this season.
That makes seven Cyclones expected to enter the portal when it opens April 6, the day after the NCAA Tournament title game.
Junior forward Addy Brown announced her plans on social media Tuesday evening, writing that “this decision comes after a lot of thought about my future and goals.”
Others expected to enter the portal include freshmen guards Freya Jensen and Reese Beaty, sophomore guards Aili Tanke and Regan Wilson, and junior center Lilly Taulelei.
Audi Crooks, a junior from Algona and a second-team All-American, has not announced her plans for her senior season.
Williams, who played her first two years of college basketball at Arizona, continued: “Iowa State will always have a place in my heart and I’ll never forget the Iowa State way.”
