The clouds will clear up more through the morning, opening us up to sunshine for most of the day. The temperatures will struggle to climb out of the 30s. For central and southern IA, we should be getting around and into the mid and low 40s. For the northern half of the state where snow is still on the ground, expect to stay chilly in the 30s. The winds will calm down overnight and we will be looking to establish a warming southerly wind by the end of the week. The sun is back for most of Thursday as well as the temps work on getting warmer. Friday will be the warmest day with mid and upper 60s. The southerly breeze will help get us there, but that will also advect more moisture into the Midwest. There will be a chance for showers and thunderstorms Friday evening and overnight. These will be typical early spring weaker thunderstorm chances with no threat for severe weather. We will dry out again for Saturday with a north breeze knocking the temps down a bit. Easter Sunday and starting next week will bring more rain chances over us. Temperatures will be cooler as well as we settle around the typical early Spring averages.
