Start the party early with The Music Man Square’s 3rd Annual Pre-Winter Dance Party Celebration on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 4 PM to 6 PM. This FREE dance party is the perfect way to kick off the week!

The Ice Cream Parlor will be open to satisfy your sweet tooth, and drinks will be available to keep your energy up on the dance floor. While you’re there, take time to explore The Music Man Square’s charming streetscape and homage to Meredith Willson’s legacy.

The museum will also be offering its regular tours during Winter Dance Party weekend on Thursday through Saturday from 1 PM to 5 PM, so plan to explore this unique tribute to Mason City’s musical heritage.

On Friday, January 31st, immerse yourself in the culture of the 1950s and 1960s with a free guided tour of mid-century art at the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum. This special tour begins at 1:30 PM and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Museum’s impressive collection of post-World War II art includes works by some of the era’s most notable artists.

Admission to the museum and this guided tour is completely free.
