A former Iowa doctor convicted of sex abuse is pleading guilty to enhanced charges stemming from another case decades ago. Those enhanced charges stem from a case that dates back to 1976 when Lynn Lindaman was convicted of lascivious acts with a child.Lindaman was offered a deferred judgment at that time, meaning he would not have to serve time for that conviction if he followed probation guidelines set by the court. Those guidelines were broken when Lindaman was found guilty of second-degree sexual assault in February. The mandatory minimum for Lindaman’s sentencing will increase from 17.5 years to 42.5 years as a result of the guilty plea.Lindaman’s sentencing is set for April 26. At that time, the court will also hear the defense’s motion for a new trial.
