As the semester progresses, there are key dates and important information students need to know and stay aware of.

Friday is the last day students can add, drop or adjust classes to pass/not pass for first-half semester classes, according to the registrar’s office.

For full-semester classes, the last day is Nov. 1.

Interim grades, previously known as midterm grades, must be submitted by the instructor if the student has a C- or lower or nonattendance. “Students who receive interim grades C- and below are encouraged to discuss their academic performance with the course instructor and their advisor,” according to the registrar’s office.

The registration period for the 2025 spring semester will open Oct. 22. For students wishing to schedule an appointment before registration, the advising period opens Oct. 7. Students can view registration appointments on Workday.

Students can start registering for classes on different dates depending on their class status. Seniors can start on Oct. 24 and juniors can begin Nov. 4. Then, sophomores will be able to start signing up on Nov. 11 and freshmen Nov. 18.
