THE CITY OF BONDURANT SAYS NORTHERN NATURAL GAS COMPANY IS DOING SOME PIPELINE WORK, AND AS A PART OF A LARGER UPSTREAM PROJECT, THE COMPANY IS BURNING OFF EXCESS GAS. SO THAT IS THE GLOW. If you saw bright flames from Interstate 35 in Ankeny, or in Bondurant, don’t be alarmed.The city of Bondurant says Northern Natural Gas Company was doing pipeline work. BONDURANT, Iowa —

If you saw bright flames from Interstate 35 in Ankeny, or in Bondurant, don’t be alarmed.

The city of Bondurant says Northern Natural Gas Company was doing pipeline work. As part of a larger upstream project, the company was burning off excess gas.

Viewers told KCCI they could see the flames from Interstate 35 in Ankeny.
