The men’s team finished in fifth place, marking their fourth consecutive year with a top-five outdoor finish in the Big 12.

Next up on the postseason schedule is the NCAA West Prelims in Fayetteville, Arkansas, from May 27-30.

Rachel Joseph defends 400m title

Joseph returned to the championships looking to defend her 400-meter race title, continue improving her times and break the Iowa State record books.

Joseph would dominate the race with a personal-best time of 50.08 seconds, setting a new school and facility record.

Joseph’s all-time performance was her fourth consecutive 400-meter title at the conference championships, across indoor and outdoor competition. Joseph is the first athlete to accomplish this since 2013.
